Sands Resorts Hotels are sold
Sands Resorts Hotels, which include
Sands Ocean Club,
Sands Beach Club, Sand Dunes Resorts, Ocean Dunes Resorts, and Ocean Forest Resorts are now all under one new owner.
The Sun News of Myrtle Beach, SC described the former owner in this manner; "An embattled golf course developer and hotelier has sold four Myrtle Beach hotels to a business partner, putting all of the resorts in the Sands chain under one owner."
Lee Rawcliffe, who purchased the Sands Ocean Club and Sands Beach Club from Larry Young several years ago, yesterday purchased the remaining
Myrtle Beach Hotels which included Ocean Dunes Resort & Villas, Sand Dunes Resort Hotel, Ocean Forest Villas and Ocean Forest Plaza. The purchase also included a central laundry facility to clean linens, towels, and bedspreads for the above Myrtle Beach Hotels
"The Sands group now includes nearly 2,000 rooms", Rawcliffe said.
Larry Young still owns Legends Resorts Hotels and Condos, Legends Golf Courses, Heritage Golf Course and has a lease on Oyster Bay Golf Course.
Myrtle Beach Hotels and Condos did note a strong improvement in the Sands Ocean Club and Sands Beach Club once they were purchased by Rawcliffe. We hope the same improvements can be expected for the new
Myrtle Beach Resorts he just added.
Myrtle Beach Hotels and Condos also wishes Larry Young the best as he moves back into the golf course entities that are a more common terrain for his business model.
About these MYRTLE BEACH HOTELS: Each of these Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotels are property managed. Each oceanfront condo is individually owned and managed by Mr. Rawcliffe's company for a percentage of the rental income. In short, Mr. Rawcliffe actually purchased a property management firm and ownership of common areas including pools, front desks, laundry facilities, etc.
