Myrtle Beach Hotels all along the Grand Strand from Pawleys Island, SC to Oak Island, NC, have long sought ways to improve customer service. The 1980's saw the beginnings of the Oceanfront Hotels concept with rooms expanding to include 2 bedroom/2 bath and 3 bedroom/3 bath oceanfront condos. Later in the 80's came the continental breakfast concept, which is now standard among many Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotels.

In the past few seasons, several Myrtle Beach Hotels have featured cafes or coffee houses, like Starbucks Coffee, on the hotel grounds.

The lastest trend in service among Myrtle Beach Hotels, however, is certainly a giant leap in operations. Beginning May 10, 2008, visitors to Myrtle Beach, SC that stay at any Myrtle Beach Hotels and Condos resort will be allowed to order groceries online and have them delivered to their hotel room at check in. "This is an exciting development," said Dan Wenzel, sales director for Myrtle Beach Hotels and Condos. "Customers are really getting pinched right now with gas prices and our properties want to do all they can to help them have an affordable and fun vacation."

Myrtle Beach vacationers can begin ordering online as early as May 10th with deliveries beginning for guests arriving as soon as June 01, 2008.

Myrtle Beach Hotels up and down the Oceanfront are very excited about this new service and the hopes are that this will set the participating properties apart.

With the investment of Hard Rock Theme park, which also opens June 1st, and Market Commons, now open, over $1 billion dollars in improvements have been spent in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area this year. Coupled with this new level of service, Myrtle Beach Hotels should see a strong showing for the Summer of 2008, even factoring in this current sluggish economy.
