At Wonder Works, kids and adults alike can interact, discover and explore with over 100 exhibits, making it one of the hottest new Myrtle Beach attractions since its opening in the Spring of 2011.

Are rides at amusement parks a little too tame for you? Then come to Wonder Works and design your own roller coaster! Once you’ve added enough twists, turns, and upside-down loops, test it out in the Wonder Works coaster simulater– capable of turning 360 degrees in any direction! Or, if roller coasters aren’t your speed, take a simulated submarine ride! Not many other Myrtle Beach attractions can can provide this kind of fun!

Other exhibits at Wonder Works include a bubble exhibit, a hurricane wind simulator, and an icy water exhibit where you can feel just how cold the water was on the night the Titanic sank. All exhibits at Wonder Works are aimed to be educational and fun for all ages, not just children, so check them out while you’re enjoying your stay at one of our Myrtle Beach hotels.

Wonder Works is also home to the Soar + Explore exhibit, located just outside of the upside down building. At Soar + Explore, challenge yourself at the ropes course, or zipline across the lake at Broadway at the Beach! The ropes course at Wonder Works is three levels high and 40 feet tall. A combination of different obstacles designed with 3,000 ropes and cables make the course fun for challenging yourself, or completing the course as a family or team.

The Zipline stands 50 feet above the water, giving you a bird’s eye view of Broadway at the Beach. Travel 1,000 feet across the smooth zipline for an experience you’ll never forget!

Myrtle Beach Bike Week

December 27th, 2011

Spring in the Grand Strand is almost synonymous with Myrtle Beach Bike Week and the roar of the Harleys will soon be heard again in Horry County.

Check out out great list of Myrtle Beach hotels to find a place to stay during Bike Week in Myrtle Beach.

This year Myrtle Beach Bike week takes place May 11-20. Motorcycle enthusiasts and local business are expecting a great turn out for 2012, as last year numbers of attendees were up significantly. If you are planning on attending Myrtle Beach Bike Week , there are a few spots that you can’t miss while you’re here.

If you find yourself in North Myrtle Beach, be sure to stop by Barefoot Landing. Here you will find tons of on-site vendors and activities, as well as the year-round attractions, dining, and shopping that Barefoot Landing provides.

South of Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet is a must-see destination for anyone trying to make the most of Myrtle Beach Bike Week. In Murrells Inlet you will find vendors, attractions, bars and restaurants all aimed towards bike enthusiasts. Suck Bang Blow, the famed biker burnout bar, has two locations in Murrells Inlet. Several places in Murrells Inlet also host special Poker Runs during Bike Week.

Myrtle Beach hotels become booked quickly, so book early or check out some of the hotels in Surfside Beach, such as the Surfside Beach Resort. The town of Surfside Beach is only minutes away from Murrells Inlet, and is still a biker friendly community.

If you’re looking to venture out on your own, try taking a “daycation” by cruising down to Georgetown or Charleston. Or, head North of Myrtle Beach to Wilmington, North Carolina for the day. There is plenty to see and do in each city.

If the enforced helmet law kept you away from Myrtle Beach Bike Week in previous years, you will be happy to know that the law has been overturned. Although, individuals under 21 are still required by law to wear a helmet while riding.

The Grand Strand area looks forward to hosting Bike Week this spring, and we wish everyone a fun and safe time!

November 28th, 2011

Myrtle Beach is a fantastic option for those who are considering taking a winter vacation. Many Myrtle Beach hotels and Myrtle Beach condos are seeking to fill rooms so they reduce their rates during the winter months to boost occupancy. Many of our Myrtle Beach condos are offering reduced rates that make planning your Myrtle Beach vacation a breeze. Of course, what would a winter vacation in Myrtle Beach be without some holiday celebrations?

Some of the most popular Myrtle Beach attractions during the winter months include live variety shows, many of which are holiday-themed. The list of great Myrtle Beach attractions for the holidays include live variety shows produced by venues such as the The Alabama Theater and the Carolina Opry. The shows offer a wonderful blend of family-friendly acting, singing, dancing, and theatrics that the whole family is sure to enjoy. When you’re planning your trip to stay in one of great Myrtle Beach condos, make sure that you include time to check out one or two of these spectacular holiday shows.

Here is an overview of two of the top Myrtle Beach attractions for the holidays:

Carolina Opry– The Christmas Show

Known as “The Holiday Show of the South,” the Christmas Show at the Carolina Opry is simply fantastic. The music, acting, costumes, and special effects (especially the brilliant light show) make the Christmas Show at the Carolina Opry one of the top in the entire state of South Carolina, let alone Myrtle Beach. This is the twenty-fifth year that the Carolina Opry has presented their Christmas show and they are certainly looking forward to this year’s performance.

The Alabama Theater– The South’s Grandest Christmas Show

Alternative to Myrtle Beach Hotels… Hotel-Condos

November 15th, 2011

Many people book full family vacation packages at Myrtle Beach hotels. While there are many great Myrtle Beach hotels in the Myrtle Beach area, booking hotel-condos for family vacation packages is the best way to go to truly enjoy your Myrtle Beach vacation. Here are some of the top reasons why you should consider renting Myrtle Beach hotel-condos for your vacation rather than renting expensive Myrtle Beach hotels:

Myrtle Beach Hotel-Condos Offer More Space than Myrtle Beach Hotels

Hotels in general (not just the ones in Myrtle Beach) don’t offer vacationers much space, Sure you can rent larger hotel rooms and suites but those can cost significantly more for smaller additional space. Hotels are also often generically decorated, making them not particularly inviting places to stay.

With hotel-condos, vacationers receive not only more room but more privacy as well. Condos are decorated by the individual owner so hotel-condo vacation packages can offer a degree of comfort that no generic hotel decoration could. Hotel-condos are especially useful for extended stays or long vacations because vacationers often don’t feel cramped in hotel-condo rooms like they would in a standard hotel room.

Hotel-Condos Offer Features that Hotels Don’t

The majority of hotels have no kitchen space. They may offer amenities such as coffeemakers, mini-refrigirators, and microwaves but usually not more than that. Extended stays (especially long vacation packages) can become expensive and calorie-laden if you’re constantly eating out or ordering room service. With hotel-condos you get a full kitchen so you can prepare your own meals just like you would at home while you’re on vacation. Many people are seeking to save money when they book vacation packages and go off of their budget when they are forced to buy meals every day. By staying at a hotel-condo you can save money, cook your own food, and then store your leftovers in a full-sized refrigerator.

Also remember– hotels are not the only oceanfront properties in Myrtle Beach. Many of our Myrtle Beach hotel-condos are oceanfront and offer full and partial ocean views.

Book your Myrtle Beach vacation at one of our fantastic hotel-condo locations today!
