Labor Day Weekend Beach Boogie and BBQ Festival is a free festival at The Market Common that features BBQ, live music and more! The annual Beach Boogie and BBQ Festival in Myrtle Beach takes starts Friday, September 2 from 6:30-10 pm and Saturday, September 3 from 10am-10pm. The festival will feature live music, family activities and all sorts of fun entertainment including South Carolina’s barbecue competition, arts, crafts and of course a huge Myrtle Beach fireworks show!
Events will include:
Friday night September 2nd
“Anything goes” competition with $1 samples, a beer and wine garden
Wake boarding demo on the lake at Market Commons enjoy professionals perform stunts on the water!
Saturday September 3rd
BBQ from over 60 local and regional teams
Free boat rides for everyone
Fireworks Show scheduled for 9:30
Celebrity performers:
Richard Blais of “Top Chef: All Star” will be judging the competitions and meeting visitors!
Josh Gracin from American Idol Season 2 will perform live Saturday Night at 8:00pm
Sunday September 4th
“Wing-off” Cooking Competition
Chicken Wing Eating Competition
Watermelon Eating Contest for kids ages 5-15
The Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival 2011 closing ceremony will be held on Sunday at 3pm.
Weekend Schedule:
Friday, September 2 from 5-9pm
Saturday, September 3 from 12-9:30pm
Sunday, September 4 from 12-5pm.
