Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Hotels have seen a huge increase in toll free phone traffic and online reservations over the past three weeks dating to March 04, 2009. Most of the traffic has centered around the reservation dates that run from June 20th through July 12th.
“Families are now highly focused on getting their vacation dates fixed at area Myrtle Beach hotels,” said Dan Wenzel, sales director for Myrtle-Beach.com, a local advertising agency. “What we are seeing is a push for the weeks around the fourth of July time period. The week of June 20th will be very busy and we are seeing most Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotels with little or no inventory as of late April.” Wenzel added.
Gas prices are a top concern for many oceanfront hotels in Myrtle Beach this summer. Indications are that peak weeks will continue to sell out as in the past.
Highly reputable hotels with large condos like, Barefoot Resort are seeing their hotel rooms and condo suites sell out more quickly than standard hotels.
The addition of Hard Rock Park and Market Commons will make Summer 2008 an interesting transition summer for the industries in the area. Only time will tell what long term impact these additions will have.
