Myrtle Beach f.l.a.v.o.r. Returns For Second Year

The 2nd Annual f.l.a.v.o.r. (fresh, local, appetizing, valuable, original restaurants) will take place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center after having received raved reviews about last year’s event. The event will be on April 5th and will feature over 30 of the area’s top restaurants that will serve small plates of their most popular dishes. In addition, there will be a beer and wine garden and wine tastings. In addition, there will be a beer and wine garden and wine tastings. Paula Deen’s sons, Jamie and Bobby Deen, who are regulars on The Cooking Channel and Food Network will be there to sign autographs and selling cookbooks. The event is open to the public and admission is free. Food tickets will cost $1 and food samples will average one to three tickets.

Coastal Uncorked Food and Wine Festival 2012

It’s almost time for the 3rd Annual Coastal Uncorked food, wine, and spirits festival! The 2012 Coastal Uncorked festival is sure to be the best yet, with a new oceanfront location at the former site of the Myrtle Beach Pavilion!

This year, the Coastal Uncorked festival will take place over two weekends from April 22-29, 2012. The event features varieties of tasting tents for sampling wine and beer, baked goods, and even grape stomping! There will also be live music, restaurant vendors, and cooking demonstrations. Tickets are on sale now, and basic time-block tasting tent passes are only $30.

The fun of the Coastal Uncorked Food & Wine Festival isn’t limited to simply tasting. There will be numerous events throughout festival week such as the “Sip, Savor and Stroll” event held at The Market Common on April 26th and the Chef’s Challenge & Tasting Finale on April 29th. There will even be a cooking class and dinner with the winner of last year’s Chef Challenge, Eric Masson of The Brentwood Restaurant & Wine Bistro.

St. Patrick’s Day in Myrtle Beach

Get ready for all of the green beer you can handle– St. Patrick’s Day 2012 falls on a Saturday this year! And with the day-long festivities planned in the Myrtle Beach area, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t celebrate!

Everyone is Irish on St. Patty’s day, so start your celebration off by attending the St. Patrick’s Day 2012 Parade in North Myrtle Beach ! Known for being the biggest parade on the Grand Strand, the 2012 parade will being at 9 AM sharp On Main Street! Put on your favorite green attire and get to Main Street by 8:30 to ensure you get a good spot to see over 100 parade entries!

The celebration in North Myrtle Beach doesn’t end with the parade. Afterward, visit the St. Patrick’s Day festival at the end of Main Street and browse over 125 vendors displaying local arts and crafts! The festival also features food vendors and live entertainment. The main street festival also has a kid zone, so your little ones can take part in the celebration of all things Irish as well!

Heading South to Myrtle Beach , check out Plyler Park downtown for yet another St. Patrick’s Day 2012 celebration ! Wonder Works

One of the newest Myrtle Beach attractions is Wonder Works! When you visit Broadway at the Beach, you will certainly noticed the all new upside down building– the home of Wonder Works! At Wonder Works, kids and adults alike can interact, discover and explore with over 100 exhibits, making it one of the hottest new Myrtle Beach attractions since its opening in the Spring of 2011.

Are rides at amusement parks a little too tame for you? Then come to Wonder Works and design your own roller coaster! Once you’ve added enough twists, turns, and upside-down loops, test it out in the Wonder Works coaster simulater– capable of turning 360 degrees in any direction! Or, if roller coasters aren’t your speed, take a simulated submarine ride! Not many other Myrtle Beach attractions can can provide this kind of fun!

Other exhibits at Wonder Works include a bubble exhibit, a hurricane wind simulator, and an icy water exhibit where you can feel just how cold the water was on the night the Titanic sank. All exhibits at Wonder Works are aimed to be educational and fun for all ages, not just children, so check them out while you’re enjoying your stay at one of our Myrtle Beach hotels.

Wonder Works is also home to the Soar + Explore exhibit, located just outside of the upside down building. At Soar + Explore, challenge yourself at the ropes course, or zipline across the lake at Broadway at the Beach! The ropes course at Wonder Works is three levels high and 40 feet tall. A combination of different obstacles designed with 3,000 ropes and cables make the course fun for challenging yourself, or completing the course as a family or team.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week

Spring in the Grand Strand is almost synonymous with Myrtle Beach Bike Week and the roar of the Harleys will soon be heard again in Horry County.

This year Myrtle Beach Bike week takes place May 11-20. Motorcycle enthusiasts and local business are expecting a great turn out for 2012, as last year numbers of attendees were up significantly. If you are planning on attending Myrtle Beach Bike Week , there are a few spots that you can’t miss while you’re here.

If you find yourself in North Myrtle Beach, be sure to stop by Barefoot Landing. Here you will find tons of on-site vendors and activities, as well as the year-round attractions, dining, and shopping that Barefoot Landing provides.

South of Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet is a must-see destination for anyone trying to make the most of Myrtle Beach Bike Week. In Murrells Inlet you will find vendors, attractions, bars and restaurants all aimed towards bike enthusiasts. Suck Bang Blow, the famed biker burnout bar, has two locations in Murrells Inlet. Several places in Murrells Inlet also host special Poker Runs during Bike Week.

New Years Eve in Myrtle Beach

There are many options for things to do in Myrtle Beach on New Years Eve in 2011. In fact, many Myrtle Beach hotels will be offering discounts and package specials designed specifically for New Years. Whether you’re in the mood for a quiet dinner with friends or an exciting New Years Eve party, Myrtle Beach is the place to be to bring in 2012.

If you are looking for an exciting New Years Eve party to attend, Broadway at the Beach will be hosting one of the best in Myrtle Beach. Celebrity Square will feature an 8:00 PM fireworks display and music will be playing all night long as you celebrate at some of Broadway’s popular clubs. For only $35 you can get into eight clubs to party the night away and welcome in 2012.

Check out the Ripley’s Kids Only New Years Eve Bash if you’re planning a family trip to Myrtle Beach to celebrate New Years. The party starts at 8:00 PM and features crafts, pizza, music, and karaoke. The party will last until 8:00 AM on January 1st and is $69 per child. This is a great option for those parents who would like to enjoy a night to themselves without having to worry about taking care of the kids.

For those more interested in going to dinner on New Years Eve in Myrtle Beach, check out Mykonos. Featuring live entertainment and a four-course meal, Mykonos is a great option for New Years. $79 per couple gets you a four-course dinner (appetizer, soup or salad, entree, and dessert) and a bottle of wine. Mykonos will be offering an early bird special (before 6:00 PM) for only $49 for those who would prefer earlier dining.

If you’re looking for something unique to do this New Years Eve, check out the Comedy Cabana. Comedian Mitchell Walters (of Comedy Central and Showtime fame) will be performing two shows (alongside Greg Lausch and Cooter Douglas) at 7:30 PM and 10:00 PM.
