The Pat Boone Family Theater in Myrtle Beach is scheduled to open Oct. 1 and plans for the first performances are being schedule for Pat Boone himself!

Grand opening festivities are planned for Oct. 20 through October 23 where Pat will wow Myrtle Beach visitors!  After the planned grand opening more performances for Pat Boone are planned later in the year in December.

The former NASCAR Café building is currently under remodeling to make room for the large venue.  The Pat Boone Theater will be located at the corner of U.S. 17 Bypass and 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

This all new theater in the Grand Strand will house 600-seats, a Pat Boone museum and an Illusions ultra lounge that will open in early 2012.  The 600 seat theater will feature a 50 foot stage with the latest HD big screen monitors that will showcase the new Myrtle Beach venue.

In addition to music acts the the theater plans to be home to performances of local magicians and other performance artist.

Boone known for his hit making songs from the 1950′s and numerous feature film roles the hit makers career spans more than seven decades.

The Myrtle Beach area has long been home to some of the best music venues in the South east including The House of Blues, The Alabama Theater, Legends and The Carolina Opry.

The new Pat Boone Theater was planned to open here in the Grand Strand earlier in the year but construction was delayed due to scheduling problems, weather and a poor economy.

Tickets are not on sell yet but will be soon!  The Pat Boone Theater will be a welcome addition to the already huge family friendly attractions in Myrtle Beach.

Adult tickets will be $24.95 to $34.95. Tickets for children will be available for $6.95 to $8.95.

Originally called the Hard Rock Park the music themed amusement park opened in the spring of 2008 and cost $400 million to construct.

Local businesses in the Myrtle Beach area are excited about the news of new life coming into the now abandoned Freestyle Music park. Area businesses look forward to the prospects of any attractions.

The new owners FPI, plan evaluate what went wrong the first two times the Amusement park opened in order to identify made the park fail and what can make the Myrtle Beach theme park succeed the third time. FPI plans to reevaluate the price of admission which many believe to be unreasonable and the parks main cause of failure. The Freestyle Music Park and Hard Rock Parks original price of admission was $40 for adults and about $30 for children a price that was later lowered in the summer 2009 to less than $20 for special promotions.

Myrtle Beach residents have been very outspoken about wanting to see the 50-acre Amusement park reopen and have hated seeing it sit idle for two years in foreclosure. Many Myrtle Beach businesses have believed that the parks closure was due to the slow turn out in tourism in the area.

All agree that reopening the park will be a step in the right direction to revitalize the Fantasy Harbor area off 501 and the Intracoastal Waterway and could bring millions of dollars to the city and area businesses.

The Amusement park itself has not been allowed to become rundown in its foreclosure as maintenance crews still maintain the park and even run the rides occasionally to keep everything in working order.

Now out of Foreclosure it is believed that in order to reopen the park the new owners would need up to 9 months to properly promote and prepare the park for reopening.
