Older Myrtle Beach Hotels can have long running buildings with limited Ocean front area on the east end of the building. In a fly over, it is quite obvious that Garden City Beach South Carolina is an Island largely cut off from the land mass that is America, by the Intracoastal Waterway.
While its contemporary towns of Cherry Grove Beach and North Myrtle Beach have gone highrise with concrete and steel Myrtle Beach condo resorts, Garden City is largely made up of single family Oceanfront Beach Homes.
The one lane road that runs up and down Garden City has a hot dog stand on one end and a quaint marina on the other. Couple with Sarah J’s fried seafood restaurant, it would not be hard to imagine this town as Mayberry on the beach. (more…)
