A gem in the wild. The Orton Plantation near the southeastern NC coast offers an impressive set of formal and informal gardens on 20 acres. Wildlife and birdlife abound on the former rice plantation that prides itself on its enormous live oaks and overall landscaping. It's a fine, history rich garden of the South and the midAtlantic region.
